My favorite team
New England Patriots
My favorite team is New England Patriots, because it is one of the most popular, talented team and when I started to play football this is one of the first team I have watch with my father. What I like the most with this team is the slogan «Do your job», this team inspire me to play football during my secondary and now I am going to present you the history of this team.
The beginning (1959-1992):
The pats are create the November 16, 1959, it is the team eight and the last franchise of the American Football League (AFL). The first director of the team is Mike Holovak and the name of the team was decide by the habitants of the region.
At the beginning, the team play in different stadium for example Nickerson Field, Harvard Stadium, Fenway Park and Alumni Stadium are used by the team. The Patriots have no success in the AFL, except at the end of the 1963 season, when they go to the AFL finals, but they lose 51-10 against the San Diego Chargers. When the AFL and the NFL merge in 1970, the team are placed in the American Football Conference East (AFC East). The first season in the Schaefer Stadium is very difficult, because they finish with a balance sheet of 2 wins and 14 defeat, but that makes it possible to have the first choice to the draft of 1971. For information draft is where all the best player are and the basic design of the draft is that each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first. From this position, the team can either select a player or trade their position to another team for other draft positions, a player or players, or any combination thereof. In 1985, the New England Patriots played again the playoff games and for the first time in their history, qualify for the Super Bowl XX, they lost brutally 46 to 10 against the Chicago Bears. The club is experiencing a turn in the late 1980s when Victor Kiam becomes owner of the team. His management is catastrophic and plunges a positive franchise to a non-competitive team, the last of his division. Therefore, the team change the owner and now it is Robert Kraft.

The Pats restart from nothing. However, when they recruited Bill Belichick as a head coach, Tom Brady as a quarterback and inaugurated the Gillette Stadium.

- Win 20-17 against the St. Louis Rams at Super Bowl XXXVI (2001) at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
- Win 32-29 against the Carolina Panthers at Super Bowl XXXVIII (2003) at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
- Win 24-21 against Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX (2004) at ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville.
- Win 28-24 against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl XLIX (2014) at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
- Win 34-28 in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons at the Super Bowl LI (2016) at NRG Stadium in Houston.
- Win 13-3 against the Los Angeles Rams at the Super Bowl LIII (2018) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta
In conclusion, this is the story of the New England Patriots and I think this is one of the best team in the NFL. I will finish with the quote of the team and the coach is Do your job "Do your job".
